Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met today with representatives of the World Union for Progressive Judaism (http://wupj.org/) and told them that their support for Israel was very important to him and the country: "I thank you for devotion to the state, especially during the war in Lebanon."
The WUPJ representatives said that they would be pleased to hold an ongoing dialogue with the State of Israel on all issues connected to Judaism.
Prime Minister Olmert said that he feels close to all streams within Judaism and welcomed today's meeting.
