At the weekly Cabinet meeting (Sunday), 17.11.2002:

1. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon sent condolences to the families of those
killed in Friday's brutal terror attack in Hebron, and best wishes for a
speedy recovery to those who were wounded. The Prime Minister spoke of
his visit, together with Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, Public Security
Minister Uzi Landau and IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, to
Hebron in order to discuss the event with soldiers and hear security
briefings from commanders in the area. The Prime Minister praised the
IDF, Israel Police, Border Police, security services and all those who
serve in the area for their excellent work. In addition, the Prime
Minister praised those civilians who fought together with the security
forces against terror.

Defense Minister Mofaz and Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Moshe Ya'alon briefed
ministers on current security matters, referring to the terror attacks
in Kibbutz Metzer and Hebron, including details of IDF actions following
these events.

Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu briefed ministers on Foreign
Ministry diplomatic efforts following the attacks, and on his
conversations with US Secretary of State Colin Powell and statesmen from
other countries.
