Prime Minister Ariel Sharon this afternoon toured the areas slated to absorb residents from the Gaza Strip.  He inspected the community of Yad Binyamin and examined the development of the area designated for the stationing of mobile homes.

Prime Minister Sharon then traveled to Nitzan and examined the temporary residences and one of the larger mobile homes.  He commended Defense Ministry Deputy Director-General Victor Bargil and told him: “I asked you to start working and I must say that you have really worked.”
Prime Minister Sharon then traveled to Brachiya and held a discussion at the “Morasha” regional school, which is due to receive approximately 658 students from the state-religious track.

Prime Minister Sharon also visited Zikim and inspected the preparations being made on the ground to absorb farmers from the Gaza Strip.  He then traveled to Karmiya to inspect the setting up of industrial structures.

Prime Minister Sharon finished his tour at Mavki’im where he inspected the finishing of preparations for the setting up of greenhouses, which are due to receive their first farmers from Gush Katif soon.
