Prime Minister Ehud Olmert this morning visited with third grade students at the Eshkolot School in Binyamina, where he studied as a boy. The visit was in the context of a project marking the Knesset's 59th birthday, in which MKs teach at schools throughout the country. The Prime Minister said: "I am very moved to be here today because I remember the day when I started first grade here." Prime Minister Olmert spoke with the children about the Knesset and how it works. In response to a student's query about which was the most important law, the Prime Minister replied, "The Law of Return realized the dream of the Jews regarding the Land of Israel and, therefore, it is the main law vis-à-vis the existence of the State." After an approximately one hour lesson, including questions and answers, Prime Minister Olmert met with teachers and childhood friends.
