Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, today met with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who is visiting Israel at the head of a delegation of public figures from his city, and who expressed his desire to enhance cooperation between Los Angeles and Israel.
During Mayor Villaraigosaʼs visit, an aviation security and counter-terrorism cooperation agreement will be signed between Ben-Gurion International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport (http://tinyurl.com/57nm3o). Cooperation will also be expanded in the field of green energy.
Prime Minister Olmert told Mayor Villaraigosa that joining the well-known creativity of the people of Los Angeles to Israeli creativity was a winning combination.
