Prime Minister Ehud Olmert visited the Na'aman stream ("Nahal Na'aman") near Acre and inspected the rehabilitation work being done. He was also briefed on the project to rehabilitate northern streams, which is part of the project to strengthen the north and the project to improve sewage infrastructure in northern communities in order to prevent water and environmental pollution.
Prime Minister Olmert, who preferred to proceed on foot and not by vehicle, commended outdoor recreational venues in the north. He was accompanied by Prime Minister's Office (PMO) director-General Ra'anan Dinur, Environmental Protection Ministry Director-General Shai Avital and other senior PMO, Environmental Ministry and local government officials.
