Prime Minister Olmert said: "Standing here today in this new building, of which there are not many like it in the country, I must recall that the beginning was not easy. Many sectors of Israeli society live and study here. They have not always shown mutual patience and tolerance and have not always known how to live together in harmony, as is happening here. I did everything possible so that this school could take root in the educational landscape of Jerusalem , which is such a multi-faceted city, and it was only natural that a school should faithfully represent this. To come here in my last days as Prime Minister and see the school functioning and prospering, tells me that it was all worthwhile. It was all worthwhile in order to see the joy on the face of founder Ruthie Lehavi and on the faces of the students. Our society is moving forward with the help of those people who have a dream and are doing their utmost to make it come true. This school is another dream that has come true and it is moving us forward."
