According to a directive from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, letters were sent yesterday (Wednesday), 12.1.05, to all ministers, specifying the working procedures that will be in effect during the tenure of the unity government.
In light of the importance of administrative continuity and in order to preserve the government’s achievements, Prime Minister Sharon demanded that all ministers submit current and future situational assessments regarding what is being done, and what will be done, in their areas of responsibility. The ministers will report on the degree to which they met the goals set for 2004 and will clarify which goals will be met in 2005.
Following this annual review, conclusions will be drawn vis-a-vis how the work of the government can be made more efficient. Similarly, ministers were asked to submit forecasts for 2005. Ministers will indicate the main goals for 2005, in keeping with the Government’s policy guidelines and in relation to all sectors. Ministers were asked to submit precise timetables for implementing the plans, as well as the necessary budgets.
Such working procedures will assure full coordination and cooperation between the various ministries and will prevent unnecessary duplications and blockages.
