Prime Minister Ariel Sharon spoke this evening (Monday), 22.8.05, with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmud Abbas, who had called and said that he welcomed the implementation of the Disengagement Plan and the taking of brave and historic decisions. 
 The PA Chairman added that he hopes that the Disengagement Plan would open a new chapter between the two peoples and said that they still had to work together in order to do things for peace, and the future of both peoples and the region.
The two men agreed to meet soon.
