Prime Minister Ariel Sharon today, spoke with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who had telephoned in order to congratulate him upon his discharge from hospital and to wish him both a rapid recovery and good health. The Egyptian President said that he was very pleased to hear the Prime Minister’s voice and added that when he heard that the Prime Minister had been hospitalized he was very concerned; when he heard that the Prime Minister had been discharged earlier today, he was very pleased.
Prime Minister Sharon thanked the Egyptian President for his concern and said that he greatly appreciated the fact the latter was the first foreign leader to telephone in order to be updated on the state of the former’s health after his condition was publicized. The Prime Minister said that he was in good health and that he would return to work after a few days rest.
