Government Coordinator for the Reconstruction of Infrastructures and Institutions in Haifa and the North Amos Yaron today informed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that his team has completed dealing with most of the war damages and, therefore, requested to conclude his position by the end of the month. The Prime Minister appointed Yaron following the end of the war in order to coordinate between Government ministries and local councils and to accelerate infrastructure reconstruction both for public institutions and private individuals. Yaron said that the scenes from the end of the war are no longer to be seen on the ground and added that the remaining problems may be dealt with by the various ministries and local councils. Prime Minister Olmert thanked Yaron for his and his staff's quick and efficient work, the results of which may be seen on the ground in Haifa and other northern communities. Yaron thanked the Prime Minister for his confidence and commended the cooperation of Prime Minister's Office Director-General Ra'anan Dinur, as well as of the various ministries and local councils that he worked with.
