Prime Minister and Acting Finance Minister Ehud Olmert and industry, Trade and Employment Minister Eli Yishai this afternoon signed an understanding regarding the continuation of the "Wisconsin Plan" in its new format. The Employment Service will continue to temporarily deal with those aged 45 and over until the professional team chaired by Prof. Yossi Tamir issues its recommendations on their return to the plan. In the context of the understanding, the recommendations of the interministerial team chaired by Prime Minister's Office Director-General Ra'anan Dinur, which has been working on the "Wisconsin Plan" since February, will be adopted in full. The entire issue will be discussed at the next weekly Cabinet meeting.
