Prime Minister Ehud Olmert today, appointed Dr. Shaul Horev as the Director-General of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, in accordance with the Government's decision.  Dr. Horev will replace Gideon Frank, who has asked to conclude his duties after 15 years in office.

Prime Minister Olmert paid tribute to Mr. Frank.  The Prime Minister also wished Dr. Horev success in his new post and expressed full confidence in his ability to meet its professional challenges.
