Prime Minister’s Office Director-General Ra’anan Dinur, who is responsible for implementing the NIS 2.8 billion Government plan to strengthen the north, today, told a forum of the heads of economic organizations in the north that the number of principal support tracks for industry in the north increased in 2007, as compared to 2006.  In 2007, 29 programs, with Government support of NIS 80 million were approved, as compared to 16 programs with Government support of NIS 65 million in 2006.  Additionally, 31 employment track plans, with Government support of NIS 90 million, were approved in 2007, as compared to 17 employment track plans, with Government support of NIS 73 million in 2006.
