Israel wishes to begin the diplomatic process as soon as possible. |

The policy of the Government of Israel is to reach peace agreements with
all the Arab countries and the Palestinian Authority.
Israel has accepted the outline of the Mitchell report and the Tenet
plan, and even declared a unilateral cease-fire at the time. The
response was an increase in Palestinian terrorism, violence and
incitement.
Israel has a vested interest in maintaining stability in the Middle East
and takes every step possible to maintain that stability. Israel hopes
that the Palestinian Authority will do the same.
Israel wishes to begin the diplomatic process as soon as possible but it
can only begin after there is a complete halt to terrorism, violence and
incitement.
