"On behalf of the people of Israel, I wish to send our deepest
condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the American people, President
Bush and the entire US government, following the terrorist attacks
against the US and our common values.
The fight against terrorism is an international struggle of the free
world against the forces of darkness that seek to destroy our liberty
and our way of life. I believe that together, we can defeat these
forces of evil. At this most difficult hour, all Israelis stand as one
with the American people.
Our hearts are with you, and we are ready to provide any assistance at
any time. The government of Israel has declared a day of mourning
tomorrow (Wednesday), 12.9.2001, as we bow our heads and share in the
sorrow of the American people." |
