PM Sharon and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres have todayissued the following statement: |

The talks being held between Foreign Minister Peres and Abu Ala are
meant to bring about an end to the terror, violence and incitement in
order to allow progress to be made in the diplomatic process after the
cessation of terror.
The Foreign Minister's talks are taking place with the Prime Minister's knowledge, as has been said in several Cabinet meetings in the past.
