Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, today, visited Hadassah-Ein Kerem Hospital (http://tinyurl.com/39cqdg) in Jerusalem and distributed Purim packages to children in the Oncology Department. He was accompanied by Health Minister Yaacov Ben-Yizri and senior hospital officials.
Prime Minister Olmert and Health Minister Ben-Yizri spoke with the children and doctors as they distributed the packages. This is the second year that the Prime Minister has visited the Oncology Dept. ahead of Purim in order to distribute holiday packages.
Prime Minister Olmert said: “It is painful and moving to see children dealing with this disease. The medical staff is doing great work here and I hope that by next Purim all of the children will be able to return to their kindergartens and schools, healthy.”
