On Holocaust Martyrs & Heroes Remembrance Day, Thursday, May 5, 2005, the “Prime Minister’s Delegation” will be attending the “March of the Living” at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp. “The March of the Living” this year marks 60 years since the liberation of the death camps and the end of World War Two. Taking part in the Delegation are Holocaust survivors and their grandchildren who are soldiers, representatives of the security forces, and public figures. The Delegation will participate in the closing ceremony of “The March of the Living” at the Birkenau Camp. Later, the Delegation will take part in the Affixing the Mezuzah Ceremony (by the Prime Minister) on the Jewish Barracks (Barracks 27) at Auschwitz Camp 1. The mezuzah parchment was written in Jerusalem by a phylacteries and mezuzah scribe who immigrated to Israel from Poland.
“So that the final generation may know; children yet to be born will arise and tell their own children.” Psalms 78:6
