Police officers Yehezkel Ramzarkar and David Rabinowitz were patrolling Route 90 in the Jordan Valley in a police car shortly after 8 p.m. when they were shot at point-blank range by one or more terrorists. The two policemen apparently stopped to help the terrorists who pretended to have a flat tire. The "Imad Mughniyeh Group" claimed responsibility for the attack.
