Prime Minister Ehud Olmert today hosted Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen for lunch, following a working meeting. Prime Minister Olmert updated his Danish counterpart – at the latter’s request – on progress in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The Prime Minister referred to several issues under discussion in the negotiations and emphasized that he is determined to continue with the Annapolis outline and try to achieve results by the end of the year. The two men also discussed bilateral relations. Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen noted that he views himself as a, “friend of Israel,” and invited Prime Minister Olmert to visit Denmark.
