PM Netanyahu's Eid Al-Adha Greetings

27/11/2009

"I would like to greet Israel's Muslim and Druze citizens on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

In my travels around the country, as I meet youth from the non-Jewish sector, I see the light in their eyes.  I see the desire to be integrated.  I am impressed by the desire to study, to develop and to grow.

The Government of Israel that I lead has, since the start of its term, acted, and will continue to act, so that all of these youth will have the possibility of advancing in life, of acquiring an education, of pursuing careers, of earning a respectable living, and of self-realization.

We will continue to develop education, infrastructures and social welfare in the non-Jewish sector.  I believe that the massive, comprehensive development of the non-Jewish sector contributes not only to the non-Jewish sector but to all Israelis.

I would like to conclude my greetings by wishing everyone all manner of good, every year, and to say that we are not giving up on peace.  We will continue to advance peace with the Palestinians so that in the coming year we will be able to welcome the hoped-for peace with open arms."
