Anti-Drugs Authority
The Prime Minister's Office, in cooperation with the Anti-Drugs Authority and other relevant government offices, is responsible for:
The formation of national policies, coordinating, initiating, and developing inter-ministerial and inter-institutional services in the fields of: education towards prevention, rehabilitation, law enforcement, community activities, developing human resources, research, information, and volunteer work.
The Authority coordinates the activities of several government offices whose field and responsibilities are connected to various aspects of the fight against drugs:-
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and its information department (education towards prevention), Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (treatment and rehabilitation), Ministry of Justice, Police and Security Forces (law enforcement), Ministry of Interior (local government) and various other bodies involved in the fight against drugs, many non-profit organizations such as Al Sam, El Heilail Association (Arab sector), and the Association of Families of Victims of Drug abuse.
