I am a Holocaust survivor, and a Catholic family gave me shelter. About 10 years ago, I appealed to Yad Vashem asking to recognize the family as “Righteous Gentiles”, but according to their law, only the parents have the right to receive the medal.

Only Yad Vashem has the authority to establish eligibility for the status of Righteous Gentiles, and it is not under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Office to intervene in decisions made by them.
