29 years old from Jerusalem.
David (Diego) Ladowski, a cadet in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrived the morning of the bombing at the Hebrew University to submit his last assignment for the completion of his Masters Degree in Public Policy.
He was killed by a bomb planted in the Mount Scopus campus. David (29) was due to assume the position of Second Secretary, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Lima, Peru as part of the third year of his diplomatic training.
David, who was fluent in several languages, immigrated to Israel from Argentina in 1992. His colleagues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were shocked by the news of his death in the terror attack.
He was described by his fellow workers as being pleasant, devoted, and having a good sense of humor - “a Zionist, in the old sense of the word” - and came to work in their office “out of a true sense of mission”. In the past few years, David resided in the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem.
He leaves behind his parents, who live in Netanya, his sister who lives in Israel and a brother who lives in Chicago. |
